A friend was in a car accident recently. As he was recovering, I thought a lot about safe driving. It made me want to find out what was the safest car to drive. So I thought I'd search the web and see what I could find about car safety ratings.
This site is a chronicle of what I find out on the web. This site does not tell you which cars are safe and which are not. It does not give advice about cars to buy or drive. No liability is assumed for any information contained here. This is simply a collection of pointers to what information I find out there during my search.
One of the first things that occurred to me was that getting there safely can apply to driving, flying, even walking -- any way of travelling somewhere. So, I split the search up by mode of travel. I'm going to focus on driving first. Here's the list of options:
